Review - the more economical alterative

Once you've written your paper in English, the most important part is done. Still you might have to face hurdles or unpleasant correspondence (or both) before the final publication.

Reviewers of journals are - as experience has shown - very demanding and critical of submitted papers. Then we have the problem of catering to various countries that supposedly speak the same language - English in England and the US, German in Germany, Switzerland or Austria, for instance.

A paper that has been formulated and structured for one journal may not necessarily fit to another. Taking such details into consideration when reviewing/translating your paper will increase the likelihood of your work being accepted fast and without major obstacles.

Save your time and keep up your good spirits! Before you submit a paper get yourself professional assistance that will ensure the success of your publications. Quite often you only need a brief (and inexpensive) check from an experienced native speaker to have your paper accepted as a product from a full-fledged "native writer".

Simple Review

This is a simple linguistic review of your manuscript. Grammar, syntax, choice of words, sequence of sentences/paragraphs - all these points are carefully checked. The reviewer reads your paper as if he were a future reader of your publication. If something doesn't makes sense he makes you aware of it. And suggests how you could say it better. Your reviewer equals the least (medically) qualified reader of your article. If he understands you, nearly everybody who reads your article will.

Questions, suggestions, alternatives, etc. will be sent to you along with your final paper. Queries that you may have thereafter will be answered at no extra charge, either on the phone or by e-mail.

Detailed Review

In a detailed review your manuscript will be checked for language (as described above) and also adjusted to the style of the journal in which you wish to publish. By availing yourself of this service you will have done all you possibly could to have your paper accepted for publication.

Of course, there is no 100% guarantee for the acceptance of your paper. However, the point of criticism that crops up ever so often - "poor English" or "poor language" - can be avoided to a great extent.

This is how your detailed review is done:

You wish to submit your paper to Lancet. Our reviewer will read papers in Lancet (on your subject) and correct your article accordingly. The reviewer will ensure that the language of your article is in keeping with the style of the journal.

You will get your final paper and, as a separate file, any questions or suggestions from the reviewer. This list of questions (which can be quite long, depending on the length of your paper) is part of our service and is free of charge.

In both types of reviews you will get brief instructions as to how you can compare two files in the computer. By doing so you will see at a glance (on your monitor) what exactly the reviewer has altered.
